Welcome to Blue Sky Therapy & Wellness, LLC! As a clinical social worker I have been providing mental health counseling since 2007 in various settings (community, home and office). Currently, I am offering telehealth sessions throughout the state of Maryland. I provide therapy to individuals and families ages 18+. I have received basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which allows clients take a distressing event and reduce or eliminate disturbing feelings associated with that event. EMDR is easily integrated into other theoretical approaches which allow customized treatment based upon each person’s needs. No matter where you find yourself on life’s journey, I offer a non-judgmental space to work through challenges in a way that fosters safety, self-determination, and growth. In addition, I am proficient in Sign Language and specialize in working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community and culture. Credentials: • Bachelors in Deaf Studies from Towson University, 2003 • Masters in Social Work from Gallaudet University, 2006 • Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker, Clinical • Supervisor via the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners • Supervisor via the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
